DoView Boards are the latest iteration, providing a tool that answers in one place the 20 key questions anyone running, overseeing or wanting to know about any organization or initiative needs to know.

The Thinking Behind It

• The problem — planning usually fails not for lack of effort or ideas, but because the work overloads people: too many documents, too many dispersed strategy discussions.

• The missing tool — what's absent is a shared thinking tool that pulls decision-makers' mental models of their strategy into a concrete map they can deliberate over directly. Something analogous to a blueprint when constructing a building, or a map when planning a battle.
